IIS dan Apache Webserver dalam Satu Mesin

” Bisakah Internet Information Servicer ( IIS ) dan Apache Webserver (XAMPP) dijalankan bersamaan ? “

Jika kita hanya menginginkan webserver lokal kita yang berbasis Windows mampu menjalankan aplikasi yang ditulis dengan ASP, cukuplah kita menggunakan Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS).

Tetapi, ada keadaan dimana kita menginginkan aplikasi PHP kita dapat berjalan bersamaan dengan IIS sekaligus. Secara default, baik IIS maupun Apache Webserver berjalan pada port 80.

Installing the Apache web server

If you set up your day-to-day account properly on Windows XP you are working as a limited user. For installation of the Apache HTTP server you need to have Administrator rights. So go to the Windows XP Login screen by pressing the Windows key (between the left Ctrl and left Alt on most keyboards) and the L key together.

When started, the Apache HTTP server installation wizard displays a welcome message. Click on the Next button to continue. Next, the Apache license is shown. Read it carefully and if you accept the license, select the “I accept the terms in the license agreement” option and press the Next button.

Next a “Read This First” document is displayed. Read it carefully before pressing the Next button.

Mengenal MySQL

MySQL … saya biasanya membacanya dengan sebutan ” mai sekul ” biarin apa kata orang, karena katanya ada juga yang menyebut ” mai ess-que-el”, disebut suatu perangkat lunak database relasi. .Sedangkan kepanjangan dari SQL adalah Structured Query Language. yang berfungsis sebagai suatu perintah-perintah tertentu yang dilakukan untuk mengolah suatu database.

MySQL dikembangkan oleh sebuah perusahaan Swedia bernama MySQL AB, yang kala itu bernama TcX DataKonsult AB, sejak sekitar 1994–1995, meski cikal bakal kodenya bisa disebut sudah ada sejak 1979.

Nama MySQL (baca: mai és kju él) tidak jelas diambil dari mana. Ada yang bilang ini diambil dari huruf pertama dan terakhir nama panggilan Michael Widenius, Monty. Ada lagi yang bilang kata My diambil dari nama putri Monty, yang memang diberi nama My—karena Monty memang aslinya seorang Finlandia. Tapi sebetulnya kalau source code MySQL dilirik, prefiks my memang sudah terbubuhi di mana-mana—prefiks ini sering menjadi prefiks umum kalau seseorang membuat kode kustom tersendiri untuk sesuatu. Kalau Anda betul-betul penasaran mana yang benar, mungkin bisa bertanya langsung kepada Monty.
